BENDING OVER BACKWARDS
WORKSHOP DESIGN / PARTICIPATORY DESIGN / EDITORIAL DESIGN
This project aims to reconsider how young people can reconnect with the idea of a union in a way that abandons the commanding communication of previous efforts. The workshop’s most recent iteration explored how we stop altering ourselves to suit our employers. The visual motif of a warped employee is used throughout to create engaging and different conversations.
ADAPT AND OVERCOME
This project follows on from ‘Bending over Backwards’, continuing to reconsider how young people can reconnect with the idea of a union in a way that abandons the commanding communication of previous efforts. Using the office chair as a symbol of the workplace, these images and poster design create playful diagrams which explore taking back power in the workplace in a visually intriguing way.
Designed to highlighting ever-changing brand values and the empty promises of corporate companies, these flags encapsulate values in unchangeable embroidered designs. These flags present a permanent and tangible nature to consumerist climate, which currently shifts to suit the moment. The three designs were based on values from Google, Astra Zeneca and Heinz.
